Terms of Service

Welcome to Kano Konvert. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the rules for using Kano Konvert. Please read them. They include important limits on our responsibility.

Kano Konvert is run by The Ozark Valley Group LLC, an Arkansas limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"). "You" means anyone who uses Kano Konvert.

1. Accepting these Terms

By using Kano Konvert, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Kano Konvert.

2. What Kano Konvert does

Kano Konvert is a web app that:

• Translates between English and 8 Filipino languages: Tagalog, Cebuano/Bisaya, Ilocano, Hiligaynon, Bikolano, Waray, Kapampangan, and Pangasinan.
• Includes an English dictionary and lets you save favorite phrases.
• Shows live USD/PHP (U.S. dollar to Philippine peso) exchange rates.
• Lets Premium users set an alert for when the rate reaches a target.

We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Who can use Kano Konvert

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Kano Konvert.
• If you are under 18 (or under the age of adulthood where you live), you need a parent or guardian's permission. A parent or guardian must make any purchase and agrees to these Terms for you.
• You can't use Kano Konvert if the law where you live doesn't allow it.

4. Your account

• You can use some features without signing in. To save favorites to your account, sync across devices, and keep Premium on every device, you sign in with your Google account.
• Keep your Google account secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• To buy Premium, you must sign in with your Google account. Your Premium access is tied to the Google account you used when you bought it.

5. Free plan

Kano Konvert is free to use every day, with limits:

• 10 translates per day. Your count resets at midnight in your device's time zone (or UTC if we can't tell).
• Saved favorites: up to 3 if you are not signed in, or up to 5 when you sign in with Google.

Please don't try to get around the daily limit (for example, by using many accounts or clearing your data over and over). We may change free limits in the future. If we do, we will update these Terms and the app.

6. Premium plans and prices

Premium adds:

• Unlimited translates
• Unlimited favorites
• Sync across devices
• USD/PHP rate alerts

Premium plans (all prices in U.S. dollars):

Payments are handled by Stripe. By buying Premium, you also agree to Stripe's terms for that payment. We don't store your card number.

You need to sign in with Google to buy Premium. Your Premium is saved to your account, so you can use it on any device where you sign in.

7. Automatic renewal (Monthly and Yearly)

• Monthly and Yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each period, and your payment method is charged again, until you cancel.
• The price you pay at renewal is the current price for your plan. If we change a price, we will tell you before it applies, and the new price starts at your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
• If a payment fails, Premium may stop until your payment is updated.

8. How to cancel

• You can cancel a Monthly or Yearly plan at any time. Tap Account at the top of the app, then Manage subscription, and cancel there (the page is run by our payment processor, Stripe). If you can't, email support@kanokonvert.com from the email on your account.
• After you cancel, you keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for. You won't be charged again. When the period ends, your account goes back to the free plan.
• If you have an active Monthly or Yearly plan and delete your account (tap Account at the top of the app, then Delete account), your plan won't renew, but you keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for. There's no refund for that period. Your account and its data are deleted on the date your plan would have renewed. Three days before that date, we email you the date your account will be deleted, with a Keep my account button. If you press it, your plan turns back on and renews as normal, and your account won't be deleted. If you don't have an active Monthly or Yearly plan, your account is deleted right away. If you bought Lifetime Premium and later sign in again with the same Google account (same email address), Lifetime comes back with no new charge, unless that payment was refunded (in full or in part) or disputed (charged back). If your Google account's email address has changed, email support@kanokonvert.com and we'll help restore Lifetime. Uninstalling Kano Konvert does not cancel your plan.

9. What "Lifetime" means

Lifetime Premium is a one-time payment. It gives you Premium on your Google account for as long as The Ozark Valley Group LLC offers Kano Konvert. It is not tied to your lifetime or to the life of any device. It can't be moved to a different Google account. If we ever stop offering Kano Konvert, we will give at least 30 days' notice in the app before it shuts down.

10. Taxes

Prices do not include taxes unless we say they do. You are responsible for any sales tax, VAT, or similar taxes that apply. Your bank may also charge currency exchange or foreign transaction fees.

11. Refunds

• Monthly and Yearly plans: we don't give refunds or credits for partial periods. When you cancel, you keep Premium until your paid period ends. The same applies if you delete your account: your plan won't renew, and you keep Premium until your paid period ends (see section 8).
• Lifetime: you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of buying. Email support@kanokonvert.com with the email you used to buy. If we refund you, Lifetime Premium ends.
• Otherwise, we give refunds only where the law requires. Nothing in these Terms takes away refund rights you have under the law where you live.

12. Translation accuracy

Kano Konvert uses machine translation (AI). Machine translation can be wrong. It may miss meaning, tone, local words, or slang. The dictionary may also include slang or rude words when they are part of a word's meaning.

• Do not use Kano Konvert for legal, medical, immigration, or other official documents, or for anything where a mistake could cause harm. For those, use a qualified human translator.
• Check important translations with a native speaker.
• Please don't type sensitive personal information into Kano Konvert. See our Privacy Policy.

13. Exchange rates

• Exchange rates in Kano Konvert come from public data sources. They may be delayed or wrong.
• Rates are for information only. They are not financial advice and are not an offer to exchange money.
• Don't use them to make transactions. Your bank, money transfer service, or exchange shop will use its own rate and fees.

14. Rate alerts are best effort

We try to email you when the USD/PHP rate reaches your target, but we can't promise every alert will arrive or arrive on time. Alerts are sent by email to the email address on the Google account you signed in with, whether or not Kano Konvert is open. While Kano Konvert is open, you may also see a browser notification (if you allowed notifications) or a message in the app. We don't send push notifications. An alert might be late or not show up if, for example:

• You turned alerts off with the link in an alert email (this deletes your alert).
• Your email provider delays the email or puts it in spam or junk.
• Rate data is delayed or a service we use is down.

Don't rely on alerts for time-sensitive money decisions.

15. Acceptable use

When using Kano Konvert, you agree not to:

• Break any law, or help someone else break the law.
• Translate or submit content that is illegal, threatening, hateful, or meant to harass someone.
• Try to get around the free daily limit or Premium features.
• Use bots, scripts, or scraping to send large numbers of requests or copy content.
• Try to break into, overload, or interfere with Kano Konvert, our servers, or other users' accounts or data.
• Copy, resell, or reverse engineer Kano Konvert, except where the law allows.
• Pretend to be someone else.

16. Intellectual property

• Ours: Kano Konvert, its design, code, name, and logo belong to The Ozark Valley Group LLC or its licensors. You may use Kano Konvert for your own personal use as these Terms allow. We keep all other rights.
• Yours: you keep any rights you have in the text you enter. You give us permission to process it to provide Kano Konvert (for example, to translate it and save your favorites). You can use the translations you get for your own purposes.
• Corrections: if you tap Suggest Correction, you let us use, change, and share your suggestion to improve translations for all users, without payment to you.

17. Ending or pausing access

• You can stop using Kano Konvert at any time. You can delete your account in the app: tap Account at the top of the app, then Delete account (see our Privacy Policy).
• We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, misuse Kano Konvert, or put other users or the service at risk. If we end your access for any of these reasons, you won't get a refund for any plan, including Lifetime.
• We may change, pause, or stop Kano Konvert (or any feature) at any time. Sections that should logically continue after your access ends (such as 12, 13, and 16 to 21) will still apply.

18. Disclaimers

Kano Konvert is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises of any kind, express or implied. This includes promises that Kano Konvert will be accurate, error-free, secure, always available, or fit for a particular purpose. Some places don't allow these disclaimers, so some of them may not apply to you.

19. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

• We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses. This includes lost money, lost profits, lost data, bad exchange decisions, or problems caused by a wrong translation or a missed alert.
• Our total responsibility for any claim about Kano Konvert is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid us for Kano Konvert in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US$50.

Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits responsibility that can't be limited by law.

20. Indemnity

If you break these Terms or the law while using Kano Konvert and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, to the extent the law allows.

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Faulkner County, Arkansas, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

22. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is important, we will also tell you in Kano Konvert before it takes effect. If you keep using Kano Konvert after a change, the updated Terms apply. If you don't agree, stop using Kano Konvert and cancel any plan.

23. Other terms

• If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
• If we don't enforce a part of these Terms right away, we can still enforce it later.
• You can't transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours as part of a sale or merger of our business.
• These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the full agreement between you and us about Kano Konvert.
